Dagon Township

Dagon Township has prominent visits and is the most history-owned township of Yangon division. This township is historic in the word saying, “Yangon starting from Dagon”. Dagon Township, which is created with 5 quarters, has 12 kilo meters in area.
The surrounding townships are: Bahan in the north side, Ahlone in the west side, Mingala Taungnyunt in the east side, Lanmadaw, Latha and Pabedan in the south side.
The Golden Shwe Dagon Pagoda, Maha Wizaya Pagoda, National Museum, National Theater, and the Yangon Region Hluttaw (Parliament) are the prominent places of Yangon that Dagon is home to. It has two famous high schools represented for Dagon Township, B.E.H.S (1) and B.E.H.S (2).
Dagon Township has many embassies, hotels and ambassador residences. Superior condos and agelong Thamada Cinema are also existed in this township.
Dagon Township was a start of history for Yangon division, but in nowadays, it is full of well-known and famous facts in Yangon.
